A classic links hole, the 3rd plays into the prevailing southwesterly, often calling for two wood shots. The tee shot must be placed left of the three large limestone pits. This turns the hole into a slight dogleg with an uphill second shot. With the infamous Bass Strait adjacent to this hole.  This is a most exhilerating area of the course.
